What sparked the idea of the Retreat was the passage of “Ted” Brett Reichhart from brain cancer Glioblastoma. The frustration was clear in his father, Chip Reichhart, who realized that accepted treatment was not going to safe his son’s life. Despite using the nutritional intervention of a Calorie Restricted ketogenic diet, we needed more to combat this fatal cancer. Kendell, his sister, asked George Yu to join forces to create this Brett Reichhart Memorial seminar. We hear that “Necessity is the mother of invention,” and in health it’s when the conventional treatment is not effective that we search for other resources.
